Tulip Festival - Part 2

I think I like tulips because they come back every year, it is a plant I can grow, and of course, because my dad is from the Netherlands - famous for their tulips. Randy and I went to the Tulip Festival last year and I wanted to bring the kids to it. So this year, we went twice. I took the kids earlier in the month but only the daffodils were out so we went back when Randy's sisters and their families came to visit - it is beautiful, just imagine acres and acres of tulips. When driving, you can easily pick out the tulips fields because the swaths of colors pop out of the green plains.

Of course you can't pick the tulips, but Makenzy kept picking out a lot she wanted to smell.

He has LOVED his mission and the opportunity it has given him to serve, learn and grow in the gospel. Currently he is serving in Hartford,Connecticut and enjoys being back in a big city. He is a zone leader and trainer. Summer Wedding July 2024

It hardly looks like it. But it was the hottest day of summer 2024, 106 degrees.  July came in a solid "10"; ten consecutive days of triple digits.  When the fiery sun slipped into the cloud envelope the evening became much more charming.  Unfortunately, the bride was indoors kissed with heatstroke and never did come out  for her grand welcome to marriage.  Nonetheless, the wedding party oozed summer vibes and celebration.  Ice cream and gourmet lemonade was on tap to cool the guests. We were honored host.  The connection?  The bride's grandparents were former neighbors and church friends of ours  and the bride's aunt reached out to us.
