Our escape during the incessant inversion.
Park City and the Sundance Film Festival.
Even Randy couldn't resist getting outdoors finally and playing around in the sun and true blue skies.

We had Stake Conference this day.

Stake Conference use to mean I would grumble about the efficacy of me attending at all.
I usually ended up out in the hall.
Reading the announcements boards.
Pointing to the pictures on them and reading the notices with such enthusiasm hoping to convince my little ones there really was something pinned up to that board that should hold their attention.
What 2 year old doesn't want to go on a Klondike? Plan for the an upcoming stake dance?
Or finish up their degree at BYU online?

I remember wanting to boycott church meetings all together will my little ones in tow and Randy up on the stand.
Yes,  I had been admonished that the sleep deprived baby days would go by fast.
 Fast?
At the time it seemed one of the most ridiculous things imagined.
Actually, many days it wasn't fast enough.
But as I now have the privilege of an afternoon nap here or there without worrying about someone finding a forgotten marker or waking in a panic that the baby gate to the stares came loose, it is true.
I can't believe it, but it all goes by so FAST.

This Sunday, I didn't pack snacks.
Or tote along board books.
Diaper bags are long gone.
And I don't worry about inadvertently hoisting up my dress when swinging a toddler onto my hip.

Now I want to slow it down.
Maybe since my prayer to speed up time back then wasn't answered I'd have a better chance the 2nd go around.
A prayer to stop the rapidly passing days.
