Pillow Talk

This is a cute variation on the tied, fleece blankets.

Madalyn and Makayla each made one at activity days. Sooooooo easy and handmade! Madalyn made this pillow as a personal touch added to her friend's birthday gift. Supplies needed, two pieces of felt, pillow form, good cutting scissors.
Want to make one too? Cut two square pieces of fleece - ours were 16 x 16, you may go larger or smaller depending on your pillow form. Place fleece square together.
Cut a square out of each corner, about 4 inches in length, this determines how long the ties will be, if you want longer fringe, cut in deeper. Begin to make 1/2 inch cuts on each side, cuts should match up with the cuts taken out of the corners.
Now remove top fleece, lay down pillow form, replace other piece of fleece on top, remembering to match up corners.
Now it is time to tie. Take one piece of fringe on the bottom and match with corresponding cut on top, then tie in a double knot, continue doing until you have made ties all around the pillow.
The one on the left is the opposite side of the one Madalyn made, the polka dot pillow was made by Makayla at activity days. It would be so cute to make each kid one for a long car trip, or several for pillow fight (ties make it easy to hold onto), or several in different sizes for a bed, or like we did, as part of a birthday gift. Easy, inexpensive and fun. My girls loved being able to do it all on their own.
