Zoo

I can't say enough about the weather - warm, 75 degrees, perfect. Again, we had to get out.

Perfect day for the zoo.

O.k. last time our fascination was with the free roaming peacocks, this time the sumatran tiger. Makayla took these pictures.

He knew he was center stage, literally, coming out from behind the cover of plants to stretch, growl, and clean himself on the center rock.

At the beach.....sort of....entryway to the coral reef to see butterfly fish, nurse sharks, tiger sharks, and more. A zoo volunteer told us that the lemon shark occassionally bites the other sharks and fish so they have another tank that visitors can't see, where the injured fish/shark is placed until it heals and then is re-released into the other tank. Talk about an out of control bullying situation.

-Evan and Cayden....his version of the polar bear scare. The boys were good sports and kept going on the merry-go-round because Makenzy wanted to.

Family tip - if you live here, the family pass if the best way to go! For our family it pays for itself in 2 visits, we don't feel hurried to see everything and can catch the various feedings and shows all year plus when we travel we get to go to a lot of other zoos for free- this is bang for the buck!
